Occupational Therapist

Job Description Norris Academy, an 43+ bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility in Andersonville, TN serves youth ages 6-twenty one who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or neurodevlopmental disorders. POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who will provide individual and group occupational therapy services for residents.  This will be a Contract position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs for residents. Confers with parents, administrators, testing specialists and therapists to develop and implement individual education plans (IEP) for each resident/student. Provides individual and group occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP requirements. Collaborates with teachers to assist with sensory needs as needed and in accordance with IEP requirements. Teaches socially acceptable school behavior employing therapeutic interventions. Communicates with staff members to plan programs designed to promote educational, physical and social development of residents/students. Selects activities that will help residents learn life-management skills within the limits of their mental and physical capabilities. Prepares reports that detail residents' progress. Completes and maintains necessary records. Trains staff on how to provide for the needs of a resident during and after therapy. Recommends changes in the residents' living environment, consistent with their needs and capabilities. Completes case notes and IEP reports as needed. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master's degree in a related field Experience: One to two years' experience Computer Skills: Microsoft Office

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
