Assistant Director of Nursing

Norris Academy, residential treatment care facility for children and youth ages 5 to 21 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and or other Neurodevelopmental Diagnoses, and is committed to residents and employees.?Norris Academy provides quality of care to residents by selecting the best, qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to work with our team. At?Norris Academy we support and empower Nurses in their role by trusting them to perform direct care to residents while also encouraging them with leadership skill within their department.


Responsibilities and Duties


Norris Academy is seeking a compassionate ADON, who wants to make a difference and be part of a team who excels to succeed. Candidates who can perform the following need apply:




  • Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care and teaching.


  • Demonstrate leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.


  • Demonstrate interest and ability to work effectively with the community.


  • Demonstrate a willingness to work with the quality of nursing care provided.


  • Maintain an interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in nursing and health administration.


  • Hours to be determined and discussed as part of the hiring process.



Qualifications and Skills




  • Is a graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.


  • Is currently licensed by the State of Tennessee as RN.


  • Is experienced or trained in nursing services administration, Pediatric nursing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
